5 Biblical Sayings Christians Should Use More Often

Christians often use familiar phrases to encourage one another, but sometimes a fresh expression can make a biblical truth feel especially memorable. These five sayings combine faith, humor, and scriptural wisdom in ways that fit everyday life.

1. “Repent and be baptized”

This phrase can be a lighthearted way of telling someone to stop, reconsider, and make a better choice. Of course, repentance and baptism carry profound biblical significance. Repentance means turning away from sin and toward God, while baptism publicly identifies a believer with Jesus Christ. Used thoughtfully, the saying reminds us that correction should lead to genuine change, not merely regret.

2. “It’s a loaves-and-fishes kind of thing”

Sometimes the need is enormous, but what we have to offer seems painfully small.
