NO, WEF, AI Cannot Replace Divine Revelation

Good ol’ globalist Yuval Noah Harari recently remarked at the World Economic Forum in Davos that artificial intelligence is poised to dominate anything “made of words,” including laws, literature, and religion.
Harari specifically highlighted text-based faiths like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, noting Judaism’s self-identification as “the religion of the book,” explaining how ultimate authority rests not in human leaders but in the sacred words themselves.
WEF Yuval Harari says artificial intelligence will eventually take over all religious texts, predicting that AI will control every major world religion, including Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

This is when Harari posed a direct challenge: “What happens to the religion of a book when the greatest expert on the holy book is an AI?” He elaborated that no human can read and retain every word in the vast corpus of Jewish texts, but AI already can, and will soon surpass humans in the processing and ordering of those words.
From a Christian perspective, this prediction, while technologically plausible on a superficial level, fundamentally misunderstands the nature of Christianity and the living power of God’s Word. It reduces divine revelation to mere data points that a machine can master, ignoring the profound spiritual realities that set Christianity apart.
The Authority of Scripture Is Divine, Not Merely Textual
The Bible, unlike any other religion’s texts, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It isn’t just a collection of ancient words to be analyzed or optimized by algorithms.
The Scriptures are “living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12), piercing the heart and discerning thoughts and intentions. God continues to speak through His Word today, not as static text for an AI to “out-expert,” but as a dynamic means by which the Holy Spirit convicts, comforts, guides, and transforms believers.
Harari and others at the WEF clearly have no idea that the Bible’s authority is derived from its divine Author, not from human (or artificial) expertise in word processing. No amount of computational power can replicate the supernatural illumination that the Holy Spirit provides.
As Jesus declared, “The words I have spoken to you, they are full of the Spirit and life” (John 6:63). AI may catalog verses, generate commentaries, or even mimic sermons, but it cannot impart the life-giving breath of God!
Christianity Is Relational, Not Merely Scriptural
Unlike religions that center solely on texts or rituals, Christianity is fundamentally about a personal relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself is the Word made flesh (John 1:1, 14), the eternal Logos who became incarnate, lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again. He isn’t a book to be mastered by AI, he is the risen Lord who invites us into communion with Him!
The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, dwells within every true believer (Romans 8:9-11). This indwelling Spirit utters fresh words from God; convicting of sin, revealing truth, and producing fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).
What globalists don’t know is that AI lacks a soul, conscience, or capacity for spiritual communion. It has zero relationship with God, zero capacity for worship, repentance, or love. There’s no way for it to be born again, filled with the Spirit, or experience the joy of salvation.
By no means is Christianity reducible to words on a page because it is the living encounter with the risen Christ, mediated by the Spirit through the Scriptures.
Conclusion
Harari’s vision reflects a secular worldview that sees humanity’s future as increasingly mechanized and godless, where even the sacred can be “taken over” by technology. But Christians know that God alone is sovereign over history, and that includes technology. AI may process words faster than any scholar, but it will never dethrone the King of kings or silence the voice of the Shepherd who calls His sheep by name (John 10:3-4).
When voices like Harari’s predict the obsolescence of faith, we as believers can laugh because we know that the truth of God’s Word is unchanging.
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35
AI’s prowess may be robust but the innovation and creativity to create it was given to individuals by their Creator. And this we know: the power of the God who spoke the universe into existence and whose Spirit still moves among His people will never be outdone.
