5 Signs Faith Is Rising in America

Faith is alive and growing in America! Despite dreary headlines that seek to drive division, God is moving in powerful ways throughout this nation, and the data is proving that hearts are turning back to Him.
From packed churches to a new generation embracing faith, the signs are clear and inspiring.
This article is a celebration of the incredible ways God’s love is transforming lives and renewing hope across the United States of America:
1. A Hunger for God’s Word
Last year, Bible sales in America surged by an impressive 22%!

In a culture dominated by digital distractions and fleeting trends, people are reaching for the timeless truth of Scripture. And no, this isn’t just a statistic, it’s a testament to hearts seeking solace, wisdom, and purpose in God’s Word.
As Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” In every generation, there are differing sets of trials which bring with them times of uncertainty, and amidst our present reality, Americans are rediscovering the Bible as a source of guidance and hope.
2. Young Adults Embracing Faith
The rise of faith among younger generations is particularly inspiring. In just one year, the percentage of Catholic young adults in America increased by 6%. Whilst some may label this shift as being a small one, it’s a powerful indicator that the next generation is finding meaning in the traditions, community, and teachings of the Church.
In a world that often prioritizes individualism and skepticism, these young adults are choosing to anchor their lives in faith. Their commitment is a beacon of hope for the future of Christianity.
3. Churches Are Filling Up
For the first time in seven years, church attendance in America has reached its highest point. People are returning to pews, seeking community, worship, and connection with God.
This resurgence is reflective of a deep human longing for something greater than ourselves, a longing that no amount of materialism or worldly success can satisfy. The growing presence of worshippers in churches across the nation is a beautiful reminder of the strength found in fellowship.
As Hebrews 10:25 urges, let us “not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another.”
4. Atheism’s Plateau
Whilst skepticism and secularism have had their moment, recent data from Pew Research shows that atheism in America has plateaued!
The narrative that faith is fading simply isn’t true. Instead, people are rediscovering the relevance of God in their lives.
This phenomenal shift points to a broader truth: the human heart is wired for worship, for purpose, and for a relationship with the Creator. As Augustine famously wrote, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.”
5. Shift In Governmental Policies
We now have a government who isn’t just parroting talking points that itch the ears of the believer in order to win their vote, but rather, is fighting to not only promote Christianity in this nation but is working to defend and bolster the rights of faithful Americans for generations to come.
One example is seen in President Trump seeking to remove the Johnson Amendment, a 1954 tax code provision that prohibits tax-exempt organizations, including churches, from endorsing or opposing political candidates. During his first term, Trump signed an executive order directing the IRS to limit enforcement of the amendment, aiming to allow religious leaders to speak freely on political matters without risking their tax-exempt status.
Additionally, President Trump established the White House Faith Office, as well as other Faith Offices in various other government departments, an incredible step forward for the nation.
A Call to Have Faith
In a world that often fixates on evil and despair, these trends are a powerful reminder that God is still at work. Humanity isn’t done with God and He never grows tired of us.
These signs of faith rising in America are like sparks of light breaking through the darkness, pointing us toward hope, renewal, and the enduring love of Christ.
So, let’s hold fast to faith. Let’s pray for those seeking truth, for the young adults embracing the Church, for those answering God’s call, and for the communities gathering to worship.
As Jesus reminds us in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” The world may feel chaotic, but God’s light shines brighter.
God is still writing the story and He is on the move, hallelujah!
