Thousands Baptized in California as Spiritual Revival Sweeps the USA

Across the United States, whispers of a spiritual resurgence continue to ripple through communities, with a recent mass baptism at Pirates Cove in Newport Beach, California, standing as a vivid testament. Thousands gathered to publicly proclaim their devotion to Jesus Christ, marking yet another chapter in this modern-day revival.
In the past 24 months, we’ve had the privilege of baptizing 10,000 people. Honestly, I could hardly believe it when we put the numbers together—but it’s true!

Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship announced the astounding figures from the event, known as the 3rd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism, saying: “We had an incredible day yesterday at the 3rd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism.
We baptized 2,100 people in a single day! Can you believe that? Add that number to the last two years, and in just three years we’ve baptized 8,600 people!”
His testimony carries the weight of someone who has watched spiritual waves come and go before, especially in the Jesus Movement of the 1960s and 70s that inspired the 2023 movie Jesus Revolution, which is partly based on Laurie’s own life.
Taking a look at the newest wave, Laurie commented, “Even during the days of the original Jesus Revolution, we never saw anything quite like this. God is at work, and I believe these are what I would call ‘signs of revival.”
Laurie revealed that in the last two years alone, there were 10,000 baptisms at Harvest’s events, a number which left even him surprised.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – August 18, 2025 – Harvest Ministries, led by pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie, announced an extraordinary milestone—10,000 baptisms in just the past two years, through church and mass baptism events. The buzz doesn’t stop at the shores of Pirates Cove. This summer, Laurie’s Harvest Crusade in Anaheim’s Angel Stadium drew over 45,000 attendees, and another 200,000 were involved online!
By the conclusion of the event, more than 6,500 individuals had stepped forward to give their lives to Christ, and yet, it isn’t just the crowds that point to something stirring.
“People are hungry for meaning,” Laurie wrote online, “they’re ready for truth—they just need someone to lead them.”
