FBI Purges Agents After Shocking GOP Surveillance Scandal

The FBI announced the firing of several agents, whilst obliterating the CR-15 squad, just 24 hours after the shocking revelation that Republican lawmakers’ private calls and messages were being snooped on.
FBI Director Kash Patel stepped into the spotlight on Tuesday, vowing to torch the corruption that’s been festering in the bureau for decades. “We’re tearing down a rotting temple,” he told Fox News Digital. “We’re rooting out the political hacks who turned law enforcement into a weapon, and we’re rebuilding the FBI’s honor from the ground up. I promised reform, and I’m delivering.”
We recently uncovered proof that phone records of U.S. lawmakers were seized for political purposes.

That abuse of power ends now.
Under my leadership, the FBI will deliver truth and accountability, and never again be weaponized against the American people. pic.twitter.com/VuU8O68zCG
Patel posted on X stating: “Transparency? Check. Accountability? You bet. We’ve canned employees, dismantled the CR-15 weaponization squad, and we’re digging deeper with more consequences coming. This is what keeping promises looks like.”
His deputy, Dan Bongino, backed him up, chiming in on X with a fiery echo: “We swore transparency and accountability, and we’re not backing down. You deserve better than this betrayal.”
Now, let’s talk about CR-15. That was the FBI’s Washington Field Office public corruption unit, the same crew that helped Jack Smith dig into President Donald Trump.
Sources spilled to NBC News that this squad was knee-deep in Smith’s witch hunt. And what did we learn Monday? Fox News Digital uncovered that Smith’s team was allegedly tracking the private communications of nearly a dozen Republican senators. We’re talking heavyweights like Lindsey Graham, Marsha Blackburn, Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, Cynthia Lummis, Bill Hagerty, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and even GOP Rep. Mike Kelly. This wasn’t just a fishing expedition—it was a full-on surveillance dragnet.
Trump didn’t hold back, unloading on Truth Social with a classic zinger: “Deranged Jack Smith got caught red-handed, rifling through the cookie jar. What a sleazebag!”
The smoking gun? A document, unearthed by Patel and handed exclusively to Fox News Digital, titled “CAST Assistance,” dated Sept. 27, 2023. “CAST” stands for the FBI’s cellular analysis survey team, and the case ID screams “ARCTIC FROST—Election Law Matters—SENSITIVE INVESTIGATIVE MATTER—CAST.” It lays bare the chilling details: an FBI agent on Smith’s team was running “preliminary toll analysis” on the phone records of these lawmakers. That’s right—Big Brother was listening.
The FBI, an agency meant to protect us, has been caught playing political spy games, and thankfully, Patel’s not messing around.
