27 Christians Slaughtered as Terrorists Target Faithful in Nigeria’s Plateau State

At least 27 Christians have reportedly been killed in another wave of deadly attacks against predominantly Christian communities in Nigeria’s Plateau State, intensifying concerns about systematic religious persecution in the region.

Reports from Truth Nigeria and International Christian Concern indicate that armed assailants conducted attacks on multiple villages, including Rim, Mangu, and the Bin Mper community. The nighttime raids reportedly claimed the lives of entire families, including children.

International Christian Concern confirmed that at least 24 Christians were killed in the assault on Bin Mper this week. Additional deaths reported in separate communities brought the latest toll to at least 27.

Truth Nigeria reporter Masara Kim told CBN News that the violence should not be dismissed as a dispute over land, climate, or resources. He described the attacks as deliberate religious and ethnic targeting intended to destroy Christianity in Nigeria.

“This is not about climate change, and this is not about farmer-herder clashes,” Kim said. “This is clear religious and ethnic targeting.”

According to Kim, attackers were able to operate for hours in Rim and Mangu while nearby military personnel allegedly failed to intervene. Nigerian authorities had not publicly addressed those specific allegations in the material provided.

Kim also acknowledged that his reporting places his own life in danger. Nevertheless, he said remaining silent while fellow Christians are killed is not an option.
