DON LEMON BUSTED: DOJ Probes Church Takeover

DON LEMON BUSTED - DOJ Probes Church Takeover - Revival Nation News - Blog

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has ignited a firestorm of outrage after he didn’t just report on, but appeared to actively join and defend, a mob invasion of a Sunday worship service at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.

As a group of anti-ICE activists from the Racial Justice Network, led by figures like Nekima Levy Armstrong, stormed the sanctuary, chanting “ICE out!” and “Justice for Renee Good” while halting the service mid-prayer, Lemon engaged with the pastor and protesters.

According to the protesters, one of the pastors of the church was tied to local ICE operations, and as such, gave them the supposed “right” to disrupt the ongoing church service.

But Lemon wasn’t merely an observer, he livestreamed the chaos from inside the church, entered the sacred space alongside the disruptors, and repeatedly defended their aggressive tactics on camera.

As several of the congregants rushed out of the building as protesters chanted “Don’t Shoot,” Lemon remarked that the distress was “understandable” and “expected,” essentially shrugging off the deliberate disruption of worship as a standard protest tool.

Upon entrance into the church, Lemon decided it was his place to lecture lead pastor Jonathan Parnell on First Amendment rights, insisting the invasion counted as protected speech, while Parnell condemned the intrusion as “shameful” and unacceptable in a house of God.

Lemon went on to engage directly with one of the organizers Nekima Levy Armstrong during the stream, amplifying her claims that the church was “harboring” an ICE-affiliated figure and framing the desecration as righteous activism.

Shockingly, reports and video evidence highlighted by outlets like The Post Millennial suggest Lemon may have crossed from journalist to participant by his allegedly handing out coffee and donuts to the protesters, who praised him for being “out on the front lines” with them.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon blasted the actions as a potential violation of the federal FACE Act (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act), which prohibits intimidating or obstructing religious exercise, explicitly putting Lemon and the protesters “on notice.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi doubled down, vowing the full force of federal law against those intimidating Christians and interfering with worship, with the Department of Justice launching an investigation into the incident.

Clearly rattled by the mounting scrutiny, Lemon posted a video online claiming he was only present at the protest for “journalistic coverage” whilst denying any participation or endorsement, both claims that ring hollow given his on-site defenses, confrontations with the pastor, and alleged material support to the invaders. Additionally, he was seen kissing one of the organizers of the invasion on the cheek whilst appearing to hold back information on the operation that was about to take place from viewers on his livestream.

By minimizing this blatant federal offense (physically barging into a place of worship to terrorize believers and halt their sacred service) Don Lemon has transformed a crime into what he portrays as noble, protected activism and journalistic duty, of which they are neither.

These actions not only endangered religious freedom but crossed ethical lines for any journalist. And now, as federal probes are intensifying, the question looms: Will Lemon face consequences for his role in this disturbing attack on a house of God?
