THE LA COLISEUM WAS FILLED FOR JESUS - Revival Nation News - Blog

On April 11, 2026, the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, a venue that has witnessed Super Bowls, Olympic Games, and legendary concerts was filled not for entertainment, but to exalt the Name above all names.

Tens of thousands of believers converged on the iconic stadium for Hope Fest LA, the climactic gathering of Hope California’s sweeping citywide revival initiative.

As Pastor Mike Signorelli reflected afterward, “The LA Coliseum wasn’t filled for a concert. It was filled for Jesus. How do you explain what happens when hunger meets heaven? When desperation collides with the presence of God? You don’t explain it. You witness it.” And witness it they did.

A Movement, Not Just a Moment

Hope Fest LA didn’t arise in isolation, it was the crowning of 40 Days of Hope (March 1–April 9, 2026), a season of intense prayer, fasting, and evangelism known as Mission 1 Million. Across Los Angeles, believers committed to praying for ten people each while actively sharing the Gospel in their neighborhoods and communities.

Hope California describes itself as a convergence of movements, ministries, churches, nonprofits, and believers united in one purpose: to carry the transformational hope of Jesus Christ, to save souls, heal the broken, and reform the cities of California and beyond.

The event carried profound prophetic and historical significance as it fell on the 120th anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival, the Pentecostal outpouring that shook the world from a humble Los Angeles address in 1906. It also marked 63 years since Billy Graham’s historic crusades in the same Coliseum. Organizers saw these alignments not as a coincidence, but as a divine appointment.

In a city still reeling from devastating wildfires, persistent homelessness, rising crime, and deep social fractures, Hope California answered an urgent call: to rally the state and call on the nation, to bring lasting hope to Los Angeles.

The day unfolded in two distinct, powerful movements. From noon to 4 p.m., a solemn assembly centered on prayer and repentance. Then, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Hope Festival erupted with evangelism, anointed worship, testimonies, and expectations of signs and wonders.

Mike Signorelli: Sounding the Alarm for the Revival Generation

Among the voices that thundered from the platform, Pastor Mike Signorelli of V1 Church in New York city delivered a message that echoed far beyond the stadium. Known for his apostolic fire and uncompromising Gospel proclamation, Signorelli framed the gathering as far more than an event.

“From nations across the earth, leaders and believers gathered—not for hype, not for a moment, but for a move of God,” he declared. “This wasn’t an event. This was a declaration.”

Standing on the Coliseum stage, Signorelli shared his personal testimony and issued a rallying cry to his generation: “We are not waiting for revival. We are the revival generation.”

Ross Johnston: A Prodigal State Hears the Gospel

Few voices resonate with such authenticity in a California revival setting as that of Ross Johnston. His own life stands as living proof of the Gospel’s power.

Raised in a lesbian household where he never heard the name of Jesus in his early years, Johnston is now a passionate evangelist. In 2020, he heard the Holy Spirit speak clearly: “If you don’t stand now, Ross, when will you ever?” That encounter changed everything.

He walked away from a six-figure job at a leading online consulting firm to devote himself fully to seeing California, and America, saved. Today, he co-leads California Will Be Saved and travels full-time, leading revival services across the nation and the world.

At Hope Fest LA, Johnston carried that same urgency to the next generation. He challenged young people to rise with boldness for Jesus, and scores responded, rushing the stage to dedicate and rededicate their lives to the Lord.

Johnston’s passion for California is one rooted in history. He frequently reminds believers that the state’s soil has been soaked in revival, from Azusa Street to Aimee Semple McPherson, and that another great wave is not a question of “if,” but “when.”

Millicent Sedra: Preaching Truth That Sets Hearts Ablaze

The gathering also drew international voices answering God’s call to Los Angeles.

Millicent Sedra, an Australian preacher and co-pastor of Echo Church in Sydney alongside her husband Martin, is known for delivering the full, unvarnished Word of God. Her presence at Hope Fest LA highlighted the global dimension of what God is stirring.

That a pastor from across the Pacific would stand in an American stadium to proclaim the Gospel painted a vivid picture of the Great Commission in action, the nations uniting not to honor a celebrity, but to exalt the King of Kings.

She boldly proclaimed: “Gen-Z, it’s not the ‘born this way’ generation. It is the born-again generation! And the blood of Jesus is sufficient to set anyone free from the sin of homosexuality and gender confusion.”

“And I declare over this generation, that we will have a sound mind, that we will not be confused about who we are. The enemy will not define your identity any longer but Gen-Z belongs to Jesus!”

A Cloud of Witnesses: The Broader Lineup

Signorelli, Johnston, Johnston and Sedra were joined by a powerful coalition of leaders from across the Body of Christ, including Pastor Ché Ahn, Lou Engle, evangelist Nathan Morris, Alberto Mottesi, and Mando Matthews, with worship being led by artists such as Miel San Marcos, Lecrae, Miles Minnick, Rua Young, and the Sons of Thunder worship ministry.

Samuel Tejada of Sons of Thunder captured the heart of the day: “Hope is the initiative of uniting the body of Christ regardless of denomination, regardless of race, and regardless of color. We believe that the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the glory of the former house.”

What History Looks Like

As the sun dipped below the horizon over Exposition Park and the Coliseum lights illuminated the California sky, one truth became unmistakable to all present: this was no ordinary gathering.

Salvation flowed. Healings manifested. Deliverance came. Hope rose.

In a city that has known social division and spiritual drought, Hope Fest LA stood as a bold declaration that the God of Azusa Street hasn’t forgotten Los Angeles, and that His people have not forgotten their assignment.

As Pastor Mike Signorelli summed it up: “History was made.”

The seeds planted on April 11th, through prayer, repentance, worship, and bold proclamation, now wait for the rain of heaven. For those who were there, and for the many watching from afar, the message was clear: a fresh move of God is stirring, and California is being called once again to its revival destiny.
