How Righteous Policies Are Impacting America’s Economy

Nations prosper under righteous leadership and policies that uphold justice, diligence, and moral integrity. This Biblical principle is precisely what is taking place in America, and we have the numbers to prove it!

 

In the third quarter of 2025, America experienced a remarkable economic surge, with non-farm business sector labor productivity rising 4.9% on an annualized basis, that is the highest in nearly six years! This growth, fueled by increased output and efficiency, reflects the fruits of policies that encourage innovation, deregulation, and domestic strength.

Under the Trump administration’s leadership in its second term, these pro-growth measures, such as tax incentives, energy independence, and trade policies which prioritize American workers, have contributed directly to this prosperity, echoing the biblical truth that righteous governance brings rejoicing and exaltation to the people.

 

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2

 

The Biblical Foundation for National Prosperity

 

The Bible repeatedly links a nation’s well-being to the character of its leaders and the righteousness of its laws.

 

When righteous individuals hold authority, policies tend to uphold justice, reward diligence, and foster an environment where families and businesses can thrive. This isn’t mere coincidence either, but it is a divine principle: God blesses obedience and righteousness, as seen in the prosperity of Israel under kings like David, who feared the Lord and governed justly.

 

The opposite is also true, when wickedness prevails, the people suffer, but that’s no longer what we are seeing in America today!

 

Today’s economic indicators are clear: strong productivity gains, controlled labor costs, and robust GDP growth all stand in stark contrast to periods of stagnation or decline. The 4.9% productivity jump in Q3 2025, with output rising 5.4% while hours worked increased only modestly, demonstrates efficiency and innovation flourishing under policies that remove burdensome regulations and incentivize investment.

 

These results align with biblical values of stewardship, where resources are used wisely to produce abundance (as in the Parable of the Talents, Matthew 25:14-30).

 

How Righteous Policies Yield Economic Fruit

 

The Trump administration’s emphasis on deregulation, protecting domestic industries through fair trade, and promoting energy production has unleashed American ingenuity.

 

Businesses have invested heavily in technologies like AI and automation which has boosted output per worker whilst keeping costs in check, this is seen in unit labor costs declining by 1.9%. In the manufacturing sector, productivity rose 3.3% which came by way of policies that supported lower energy costs and encouraged “America First” initiatives.

 

This prosperity benefits all Americans, not just those on the right or left of the political spectrum. Not only is there higher efficiency which can lead to better wages and more jobs in key sectors, but there’s also a greater national strength that has been produced.

 

As Proverbs 11:10 notes, “When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices.” The sustained productivity growth averaging above pre-pandemic trends since 2019, now accelerating, suggests a turning toward principles that honor hard work and justice, two core biblical mandates (e.g., 2 Thessalonians 3:10: “If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat”).

 

While economic trends involve many factors, including technology and global events, the alignment of current policies with righteous principles such as placing a high value on life, liberty, and opportunity, all appear to be bearing fruit!

 

Sustaining Blessing Through Continued Righteousness

 

America’s current economic momentum is a reminder of God’s faithfulness to those who follow in His ways: when a nation enacts policies rooted in righteousness, it is exalted. Plain and simple.

 

For those not in governmental realms, it is incumbent upon such persons to not only pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2), that they may govern in godliness, leading to peaceful and prosperous lives, but to also live righteously, for it is indeed the people which make a nation and not solely their government.

 

In summary, the surging economy under the Trump administration is a near perfect illustration how righteous authority and policies do bring rejoicing and exaltation.
