New Study Confirms Abortion Drug Compounds Contaminating Drinking Water - Revival Nation News - Blog

A new peer-reviewed study published in Issues in Law & Medicine has confirmed that harmful endocrine-disrupting compounds from the abortion drug mifepristone are contaminating America’s public water supply. Researchers tested nine water samples collected upstream and downstream from water treatment facilities as well as municipal tap water in three cities. Eight of the nine samples showed significant levels of mifepristone, compounds that last virtually forever once released into nature.

Researchers Elise Rose and Dr. Michael Varveris warned that this contamination “could affect the physiology of aquatic animals and human health, including fertility, pregnancy and fetal development.” The findings come as in-home use of abortion pills continues to skyrocket across the United States.

The study adds weight to research released last year by Liberty Counsel Action, which identified a “clear correlation between the increase in chemical abortions and increased rate of infertility” in the general population. Global infertility rates have mushroomed 84 percent between 1990 and 2021, a timeline that strikingly matches when the abortion pill was first introduced in Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and in the United States in 2000.

Fourteen Republican state attorneys general sent a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency last month highlighting the growing number of chemical abortions occurring in the U.S. and urging the agency to conduct testing to determine levels of harmful compounds from mifepristone and birth control drugs that may be present in drinking water.

Kristi Hamrick, vice president of Media and Policy at Students for Life of America, explained during an appearance on “Washington Watch” that the problem extends beyond toxic endocrine disruptors. When women take abortion pills at home, they flush far more than chemicals into the water system. “Chemically tainted blood, placenta tissue, human remains, and feces—all of this is going into the waterways,” Hamrick said.

She noted that hospitals and outpatient medical centers don’t flush pathological medical waste down drains, but the Biden administration’s deregulation of chemical abortion pills during COVID outsourced this to homes across America. With as many as eight in ten abortions now committed with pills, “more than 50 tons of chemically tainted blood and placenta tissue and human remains are going into our waterways” every year.

The contamination levels are alarming. According to Biden administration safe drinking water standards, forever chemicals should not exceed four parts per trillion. The study found mifepristone in some water samples at up to 41 parts per trillion—more than ten times the safe limit.

Elise Rose, who holds a doctorate in Agronomy and Environmental Plant Physiology from Kansas State University, emphasized that this should concern everyone regardless of political background. “Because of the importance of progesterone for human and animal health, the presence of anti-progesterone in environmental and tap water poses potential health risks,” she said. “Everyone should be concerned that we are possibly being exposed to an endocrine-disrupting compound without our consent.”

The abortion industry pushed chemical pills as safe and private. The result is a poisoned water supply, rising infertility, and widespread environmental contamination. Death, it turns out, doesn’t stay confined. It spreads.
