The End is Near: An Introduction
“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near” (Matthew 24:32).
In Revelation 22:7, Jesus says, “Behold, I am coming quickly!” Most scholars believe the book of Revelation was written sometime round 95 AD. So approximately 1,929 years ago, when this particular book was written, Jesus said to John that He is coming quickly.
Some might say, “1,929 years doesn’t seem very quick. Why is He waiting? What is taking so long?”
