American Elections Are for Americans Only

Without election integrity, we lose what makes American elections distinct. The right to vote isn’t merely a civic privilege but the cornerstone of a functioning democratic republic, and it belongs exclusively to those who hold citizenship in this nation.

Therefore, protecting that principle shouldn’t be a partisan issue because it is one rooted in common sense, and the polling data is unambiguous on this issue.

According to Harvard research, 85% of voters believe that only U.S. citizens should be allowed to cast ballots in American elections. Additionally, a Gallup survey found that 84% of Americans support requiring photo ID to vote whilst according to Pew Research Center, that sentiment cuts across party lines with 95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats alike favoring photo ID requirements at the polls.

Whilst some in establishment media and in government houses frame these positions as “fringe,” as we can see, they actually represent the overwhelming consensus of the American public.

The logic is straightforward: if you want to register to vote in the United States, you should be a citizen of the United States. This isn’t an unreasonable bar to clear. In fact, it is the bare minimum standard any nation should uphold. On this point, there can be no compromise and no grey area. The only acceptable number of non-citizens voting in American elections is zero.

Critics may attempt to frame election integrity measures as restrictive or exclusionary but protecting the votes of American citizens from being diluted or undermined isn’t suppression but stewardship of the duties in one’s possession.

When every legitimate vote counts and every illegitimate one is prevented, the system works as it was designed to.

Save American elections, and you save America.

The integrity of the ballot box is the foundation upon which everything else rests, and we should defend it accordingly.
