TRUMP: “Some Politicians Refuse to Say the Word God… I Say It”

President Donald Trump brought the house down at yesterday’s 74th National Prayer Breakfast, delivering one of his most passionate speeches yet on the critical role of faith in American life.
Speaking before a packed room in Washington, D.C., Trump celebrated the incredible spiritual awakening sweeping across the nation.

“Religion Is Coming Back, And It’s Coming Back Strong”
The President opened with a powerful declaration: we can’t be truly great as a nation without faith. “You have to have religion. You have to have it. You have to have faith. You have to have God,” Trump told the crowd.
And the best part? He’s seeing real proof that America is turning back to God. “Your churches are filling up,” Trump pointed out excitedly. “You didn’t have that two years ago.”
To have the Commander in Chief excited about revival and to see his administration working hard to support the people of God by rolling back policies that worked against the advancement of faith communities is a blessing to this generation!
Trump connected America’s incredible comeback over the past year directly to this spiritual renewal. “We’re doing better than this country has done in one year,” he said. “Think of what we can do, we just have to keep it going.”
For President Trump, it’s simple: faith fuels prosperity and gives us the moral backbone we need as a country.
Taking Democrats to Task
Never one to shy away from addressing the elephant in the room, Trump didn’t mince words when it came to Democrats and faith. “I don’t know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat,” he said, questioning why some Democratic attendees were in the room since they wouldn’t be voting for him anyway.
Drawing attention to issues like voter ID laws that poll at an astounding 97% approval, even 82% among Democratic voters want them, yet for some reason, Trump called out the Democratic leaders refusing to pass them. Trump suggested this opposition reveals the priorities of Democrats that just don’t square with faithful principles.
The President also tied this to his administration’s push for school choice and parental rights, highlighting these issues for their faith-based values that Democrats are determined to undermine.
Proud to Say “God,” Unlike Some Politicians
One of the most applause-worthy moments came when Trump called out politicians who refuse to even say the word “God.”
“Some major politicians refuse to say the word God. They don’t want to say it. I say it,” he stated. He then pivoted to one of his favorite topics: the Declaration of Independence, which he moved from the vaults to his Oval Office. “It’s a true brilliant work of art,” he said. “I stare at it all the time, and I read it as often as I can.”
Zeroing in on the famous line about being “endowed with our sacred rights to life, liberty… not by government but by God Almighty Himself,” he recalled the sacred truth that rights are given to humanity by God and meant to be protected by government. This address was particularly significant after the previous Biden administration had ruled with a heavy hand, maneuvering from the position of government as the administrator of rights over God.
Trump reminded everyone how these words didn’t just spark the American Revolution but “launched a revolution… in the hearts of all humanity.” He went on to credited these God-given principles with liberating millions from tyranny and lifting billions out of poverty, and doing even more today than ever before.
A Mission to Restore Faith in America
The White House doubled down on the President’s message afterward, posting on social media: “America is, and always will be, One Nation Under God,” highlighting the administration’s wins on religious freedom; protecting free speech for religious groups, fighting antisemitism, and pushing back against anti-Christian bias.

President Trump has taken bold action to safeguard our God-given rights & religious freedoms—reversing Joe Biden's divisive policies that weaponized the federal gov against faithful Americans.

Trump’s National Prayer Breakfast speech was a rallying cry, a call for believers to help rededicate America to the divine principles our Founders cherished, and from the reaction in that room, it’s clear a lot of people are ready to answer that call.
With churches filling up and revival in flooding the pews of the nation, Trump sees this as America’s moment to truly live up to the four words which shaped America from her beginning: “One Nation Under God,” and we couldn’t agree more.
